Classroom Practice
Empower your teaching with continuous support and real-time feedback for every student. This streamlined approach allows you to concentrate on personalized instruction while cutting down on grading time.
Teachers can use Smartschool’s AI-assisted feedback system to provide coaching for all students. At the beginning of each lesson, the teacher introduces a new math concept then gives students the opportunity to work through practice problems with Yoko.
Initial Setup
The teacher starts the class by explaining the day’s topic and gives a brief direct instruction session to demonstrate solving a sample question step-by-step, highlighting common pitfalls.
AI Integration
Students then begin working independently or in small groups on a set of questions on Smartschool in Practice mode. As they upload their solution, Yoko analyzes each student’s responses in real time, providing immediate, tailored feedback.
Teacher’s Role
While Yoko manages immediate feedback, the teacher is available to circulate the room, offering one-on-one support where needed. The teacher uses the results tab in Smartschool to identify students who are struggling with specific concepts and provides targeted assistance.
Student Reflection
After the assignment, students reflect on their learning process through metacognitive questions prompted by Yoko. Questions such as “What was the most challenging part for you?” and “How did you overcome difficulties?” encourage them to critically assess their learning strategies.
Outcome
By the end of the lesson, all students have received personalized feedback and instruction tailored to their needs. Yoko helps the teacher efficiently manage the classroom, ensuring every student is engaged and supported.
